Kilo Flight Alpha – Formula Student Racing Car

Team "Kilo Flight" made history as the first Formula Student team from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh, to compete in prestigious international competitions such as FORMULA STUDENT UK (2020, 2021, 2022), FORMULA STUDENT GERMANY (2022), and FSAE Japan (2023). These achievements brought widespread national media attention to the university and inspired countless students to pursue engineering with passion and ambition.

Over my three years with the team, I held several roles, contributing significantly to the development of the car:

Deputy Captain (2022-2023):
As Deputy Captain, I led the technical aspects of the car, encompassing both mechanical and electrical systems. My responsibilities included troubleshooting critical issues and ensuring the car was fully compliant with competition rules. This effort culminated in our team becoming the first from Bangladesh to pass the technical inspection at a Formula Student or FSAE event.

Electrical System Lead (2021-2022):
In this role, I focused on adapting and optimizing a motorcycle ECU-controlled FI engine with multiple sensors to meet FS car requirements. I also developed several critical safety systems:
• BSPD (Brake System Plausibility Device): A non-programmable safety device designed to verify the plausibility between brake and throttle inputs, making us the first team from Bangladesh to achieve this.
• Shutdown Circuit: Ensured safe and reliable power management during operation.
• SCS (System Critical Signal Circuit): Developed this safety-critical system to monitor and manage essential signals for secure car operation.

These experiences provided me with deep insights into automotive engineering, safety-critical systems, and teamwork, fueling my passion for engineering innovation.
